Email Whitelisting
-
Here at Pengdows, we believe that everyone deserves privacy, the same goes for
us. In an effort to eliminate unsolicited email (SPAM) we use several
methods.
-
DNS-based Blackhole Lists
- dnsbl.njabl.org
- zen.spamhaus.org
-
SPF verification.
-
Because SPF is completely voluntary, all failures are treated as hard failures.
This is mostly because spammers publish SPF records like "v=spf1 ~all" or "v=spf1 ?all",
which tells more lenient mail servers to let their spam through.
-
SPF also has the effect of blocking the vast majority of phishing emails.
- Confirmation of the existance of the senders email account
-
Reverse PTR record verification
- Verification - Your mailservers IP address must return something other than a number when you do an NSLOOKUP on it
-
Server based Whitelisting
When you use our whitelist, the only
information kept is your email address. Email addresses are never used
for any purpose other than spam prevention. Soon, emails signed with a "Persona Validated" digital signature, from an approved Certificate Authority, will be automatically whitelisted.
-
All information
-
We will collect as little as possible information about you.
-
No information provided to us will ever be intentionally provided to anyone,
with the exception of lawful authorities if subpoenaed.
